Indiana Jones and the Lego spin off adventure

Reviewer: MrsB,
I must admit when I first saw this range in the shop I thought 'another Lego franchise money spinner'. In recent years Lego has become more or less a movie franchise vehicle and it's not easy to find plain ordinary Lego these days. However, my son was really keen on it and was bought a larger kit for his birthday - which he played with so much I had no objections to him using his own money to buy this smaller kit too.

The 'Jungle Duel' kit is great value for money, it is one of the cheapest sets you can get but has 3 figures (Indy, Spalko and Mutt - complete with expressions), a tent, a table which splits during fights, a collection of swords, and lots of other tiny additions (including strangely, a banana). It's the quality you'd expect from Lego, including a durable fabric cover for the tent, and the bits stay put when assembled.

If I have one minor complaint it's that there is no container provided, just plastic bags which means we'll have to sort one ourselves or those tiny little pieces will be sure to go missing.

It doesn't take long to put together, and although I still think franchise sets don't have the versatility of plain Lego, with a bit of imagination there is plenty of playability here.
